Accident on Dammam-Jubail Highway Claims M’lorean Youth’s Life

Dammam, Feb 10: A Mangalorean, Mayur Amin (24) died on the spot in a fatal road accident that occurred on Tuesday February 9 on Dammam-Jubail Express highway.
The deceased Mayur, who hails from Mukka in Mangalore was driving Innova car involved in the accident. The sources informed Daijiworld that Mayur was heading from Dammam to Jubail in the early morning when truck speeding suddenly rammed the car killing him on the spot. The Express highway between Dammam and Jubail is considered to be one of the dangerous accident zones in the Kingdom, of Saudi Arabia where road accidents are on the increase causing deaths and severe injuries.
The deceased is the son of Madhav Amin, who is the president of MASA (Mangaloreans’ Association of Saudi Arabia) in Dammam-Alkhobar and owner of M M Amin Establishment. Mayur was representing the company. Mayur’s sister is a medical student in Manipal.
The dead body has been kept in the morgue of General Hospital in Jubail awaiting legal and administrative formalities and once they are completed will be airlifted to Mumbai where Amin family has now settled down.
