An entire Indian Army's Company was trapped by Chinese PLA

New Delhi, Jun 17 (IANS): Around 120 Indian soldiers, almost an entire company, was trapped and encircled by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) and followed by savage and deceptive attacks, many to a point of mutilation, on Monday night, sources said.

Pointing firearms on their faces, the Chinese PLA brutally tortured some Indian soldiers to death, sources further revealed, adding that the Indian soldiers were helpless with the government directions of not to use firearms. It was not a hand-to-hand fight between the forces, as IANS has learnt and the PLA troopers used all kinds of weapons against the Indian soldiers, who bravely fought and tried to control the situation.

Sources said the Indian Army troopers were outnumbered by 1:5 ratio when they came under attack from the Chinese People's Liberation Army soldiers at the patrolling point number 14 in Ladakh on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh.

China's PLA troopers "savagely attacked" Indian Army personnel, according to sources in the government with knowledge of the details of the Monday night clashes between the two army soldiers.

"The numbers were stacked up against the Indian Army troopers. Yet, the Indian side decided to fight the PLA troopers. The Indian soldiers were outnumbered 1:5 by the Chinese troopers," the sources said on Wednesday.

China is also said to have used thermal imaging drones to trace the Indian Army soldiers scattered on the treacherous terrain before brutally attacking them.

"It was the deadliest attack carried on the Indian Army personnel by the Chinese military personnel to our memory," the government sources said.

"We were outnumbered," admitted an Indian Army officer, talking about the clash that went on for six to seven hours.

Sources stated the dead Colonel Santosh Babu went to see whether the Chinese troops had withdrawn from the standoff position, as promised by them. The Chinese trapped the Indian soldiers and brutally attacked them to the "point of mutilation".

Indian Army said the Indian Army soldiers went to the spot where the clashes happened without any animosity and were displaying friendly gestures to the Chinese side that they were there to check if the de-escalation agreement was being followed as promised.

"But they trapped and carried out the attacks, a purely savage act," the Indian Army official told IANS.

Several Indian Army soldiers are currently "critically injured" and are undergoing treatment.

The "causality numbers could increase" as the current critically injured personnel numbers are more than 10, the sources said.

The Indian Army official, however, refused to comment on the numbers, but just said "several are injured".

On Tuesday, Indian helicopters flew around 16 times to bring bodies and injured Indian Army personnel from the site of the attack in the Galwan Valley in Ladakh region, government sources said. Four bodies of the Indian Army personnel were flown to Leh from Galwan Valley on Wednesday morning.

The Indian Army on Tuesday said 20 of its men, including officers, were killed in an unprecedented violent clash with PLA troopers in the Galwan Valley on Monday night. The force also said the death toll would increase, as many soldiers were grievously injured.

In a statement on Tuesday night, the Indian Army stated, "17 Indian troops who were critically injured in the line of duty at the standoff location and exposed to sub-zero temperatures in the high altitude terrain have succumbed to their injuries, taking the total that were killed in action to 20."

The force further said the Indian and the Chinese troops have disengaged in the Galwan area where they had earlier clashed on the intervening night of June 15/16.

It said the Indian Army is firmly committed to protect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the nation.

These are the first casualties suffered by either army since 1975 when an Indian patrol was ambushed by the Chinese troops in Arunachal Pradesh.

The latest attack took place after the Brigade and Company commander-level talks happened in eastern Ladakh between the two militaries. Security establishment officials have maintained that the Chinese PLA provoked the skirmishes by establishing posts in the Indian territory.

Feel sad for our brave soldiers who were trapped and tortured by the crooked Chinese army.
In this hour, every Indian citizen should unite together(like how they were during previous wars without doing any politics).

    China war 1962
China Attacked & killed Assam regiment soldiers in 1975
China have been occupying our land/islands slowly since our independence, not only in Ladakh, even in Andaman which came to notice 12-15years back

Those times only a few newspapers were reporting, not like these times having so many news channels/media/WhatsApp groups doing their own R&D, reporting whatever they feel correct...

Instead of commenting on something which leads to unnecessary arguments, stand with Govt./Army

    Jai Hind!

Government has instructed our soldiers not to use firearms and made them scapegoats to be attacked by Chinese soldiers using weapons. This is a serious issue. Why our forces should die in the hands of Chinese because of this directive?

I do not understand why this approach from our side when China is not following the restraint. What happened to our PM? Our 120 soldiers arr surrounded by Chinese and PM is silent. India need to retailiate when attacked. We don't want to loose more soldiers to crooked China

This is my reply to amit about bycotting their products. People who have already bought their products will find it difficult to boycott. Please TRY not to buy their goods in the future. The money you use to buy their goods and services will come back to attack you.
    My reply:
I think you misunderstood me. I said Boycott as much AS POSSIBLE.
Poor people cannot afford to spend a lot of money. Capturing markets and dumping them with CHEAP products was their master plan. It's a war tactic and they want us to be dependent on them. We cannot boycott some od their goods because we are dependent on them and that is exactly what they want.
Boycott how much ever is possible by you - that is what I meant. I do not own any lenovo computer and also lenovo is not an american company. I try my best to boycott. In case of a war, do you think yout data will be safe? These people don't even care about their people. Do you think they will not misuse our data. We cannot do much about past purchases but we can avoid the goods in the future if possible. To be on the safer side and if possible, you could reinstall the software (OS etc) on your computer so that you can get rid of bloatware or any spyware.
The same can be done with phones, you can install a custom rom so that you can get rid of any spyware. Trusting them with your Data is never safe especially during conflicts and especially to the defence personnel.
I hope you understand what I mean.

Boycotting their products especially electronics will ultimately benefit you. They can use their software for espionage and if you have banking information or any sensitive data then you are at risk. Everything is fair to the communists. If you consider the crackers then there are reasons to boycott them as well. Many imported crackers have been found have dangerous chemicals. When there is so much hate across the borders, can we expect everyone to play by the rules (especially when there are communists on the other side?) . I am not saying that everyone in India is honest and not corrupt. I saw a video where a man was stamping on masks meant for export. I can't authenticate that. I will give you another example. Data of several users of Truecaller was being sold on the internet. If you have any sensitive or banking information then it is dangerous.
I try to be neutral. If people find a problem with the government then they should do the needful.
Boycotting their goods will ultimately benefit you
Sometimes I feel as if I am not able to get the correct message out.
I hope you understand me. There are other aspects to consider but I keep running out of word limit.

These Andh Bhakts/ GOdi Media can do anything to save the master....WOn't even spare the army....
    Her exact words:

"The opposition parties must realise that this isn't the situation which is over and you're asking questions. If you question that the Chinese troops streamed into our land and we were twiddling our thumbs, this is not a question on the government but on the army as it is responsible for patrolling the LAC, not the government,"

Mr. Austin. Please don't speak so lightly about taking lives. It's easy to type on the keyboard, pulling the trigger takes a million times the courage! Yes we are sad we lost our brave soldiers at the hands of the Chinese but is revenge an option here? It's China we are dealing with not Pak. They won't take aggression towards them lightly. We need a better foreign policy. That's something to think about.

It means Prisoner of War. In the past Defence Minister Rajnath Singh gave a hint of that approach when he stated, “All issues will be revealed at the right time”.

The illusion is that despite China reneging on most of its agreements, we still believe that India can attempt to get them to restore status quo without giving them something in return. Or we can give them something and that need not be known publicly.?

Time for Modi to take political stand on China. Military talks won’t deter the bully.
India’s approach of problem-solving through understandings between military commanders does nothing to keep China from a Ladakh-like repeat in any other area.

It is time for BJP to prove the divine worship of 'Bharat Mata' slogan is worth and 'nationalism' is genuine.

    1. Is India going to trade off 60 Square kilometre of Galwan valley like Doklam in 2017?
    2. It is clear that China is not Pakistan, so it won't bring votes. Why no Surgical strike against the Chinese carried out when they new the intrusion long back?

Mr Richard, no it's not because of our own stupid policy because such stupid policy doesn't exist at the first place.

For your information, India was honouring it's bilateral agreement with China dated Nov 26, 1999 where Article VI stipulates that neither side shall open fire with guns within 2 km of the LoAC. Since neither side is allowed to open fire within 2 km of the LoAC, our soldiers were unarmed in that situation. It is Chinese which have blatantly violated the agreement.

The link to the aforesaid agreement - https://peacemaker.un.org/sites/peacemaker.un.org/files/CN%20IN_961129_Agreement%20between%20China%20and%20India.pdf
