Hyderabad, Jun 17 (IANS): Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday made it clear that the state government and people of Telangana would stand by the Centre in the present stand-off situation with China.
He said there should not be any compromise on the country's security and the entire country should stand as one on the issue.
KCR, as Rao is popularly known, mentioned about the India-China skirmishes at the border during interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conference on Wednesday.
Chief Minister said that whether it is China or any other country, if it interferes with the sovereignty of India, there should be a befitting reply.
"There is no need for anyone to politicise the security matters. This is the time when everyone should be united and speak in one voice," a statement from CM's Office quoted KCR as saying.
At the beginning of the video conference, the PM and all the CMs observed two minute silence and paid tributes to the soldiers martyred in the clash with Chinese troops in Ladakh.
