Mangalore : Assailants Escape after Brutal Attack on Two Youth in Bus

Mangalore, Feb 11: In another violent incident reported from Talapady - Mangalore Highway , two men were assaulted with knife and lethal weapons by the group of eight assailants on Feb 11, 2010 late night.
Usman Paiji (31), a Headmaster in Nadupalli Madrasa, Bunder and his brother Mohammed Ashraf (28) who runs a grocery shop at Surathkal were severely assaulted by this group of miscreants, when they were on thier way from Talapady to Mangalore.
Both Usman and Ashraf were attending a day-long religious ceremony near K V Road Talapady and returning by bus. The group of miscreants stopped the bus halfway and started assaulting these two men infront of bewildered passengers, inspite of continuous pleading the bus driver to stop the bus, the bus driver did not head to their request. It is learnt that, all eight miscreants escaped the scene after the assault near Ekkur bus stop. Both injured have been taken to the private hospital in Mangalore, once bus reached near pumpwell.
More details on the incident is still awaited.
Meantime, city police have tightened the security in the city and around. As a precautionary measure of an incidednt of attack on Mutalik and this stabbing incident have given tough time for police as heavy checking has been taking place in every part of the city and its outskirts.
Speaking to daijiworld, a police officer informed that, there is no link between attack on Mutalik in Bangalore and the stabbing incident.
Police is on massive manhunt to trace the miscreants involved in this stabbing incident..
