Bhopal, Jun 19 (IANS): Avinash Lavania, the son-in-law of Madhya Pradesh Home and Health Minister Narottam Mishra, has been named the new Collector of Bhopal. His predecessor, Tarun Pithode, has been made the Director of Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection.
In May 2018, the then Shivraj Singh Chouhan government had removed Lavania from Hoshangabad as Collector to Bhopal as Municipal Corporation Commissioner. However, the government changed in December and Lavania was removed. He had been in the Municipal Corporation for only six months.
