Well prepared to respond to any contingency: IAF chief

Hyderabad, Jun 20 (IANS): Indian Air Force chief R.K.S Bhadauria on Saturday said that the Indian armed forces are well prepared and suitably deployed to respond to any contingency.

He said the security scenario in the region mandates that 'our armed forces remain prepared and vigilant all the time'.

The IAF chief was speaking at the Combined Graduation Parade at Air Force Academy, Dundigal, Hyderabad.

He also said that the developments at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh are a small snapshot of what 'we are required to handle at short notice'.

"In spite of unacceptable Chinese action after agreements reached after military talks and resultant loss of lives, all efforts are underway to ensure that the current situation at LAC is resolved peacefully but it should be very clear that we are well prepared and suitably deployed to respond to any contingency," he said.

"I assure the nation that we are determined to deliver and will never let the sacrifice of braves of Galwan go in vain," the Air Chief Marshal added.

He paid tributes to Colonel Santosh Babu and his brave men who made supreme sacrifice while defending the LAC at the Galway Valley. "The gallant actions in highly challenging situation have demonstrated our resolve to protect the sovereignty of our country at any cost."

Addressing the flight cadets of various branches of IAF, Bhadauria said IAF was revolutionizing the way 'we train and build operational capability'.

"We will fight future wars in a networked and highly automated environment with employment of cutting-edge technologies and use of modern platforms, weapons systems and sensors most of which will be built indigenously," he said.

Still not a single Rafale delivered to India. Modi wasted 6 years - if he had continued Congress government's agreement, we would have had 18 Rafales ready fully ready for fighting and with the technology transfer ability to add up 108 planes from Indian manufacturing bases.

If IAF is ready for all time, then how India has lost 20 soldiers killed by Chinese with only stones?

The Chinese intrusion is seven week old. No country with multi directional threat will not live its border open if our forces are in full alert.

If PM Modi says there is no intrusion on Indian borders, then BJP government has accepted the new position of Chinese within LAC is the new border for India or else the government and the NSA advisor Ajit Doval may be sitting over the daily satellite image of incursion to hide truth from the opposition parties and the nation.

Trust/faith/ beliefs are mutual and not one sided. Yesterday's meeting wasn't a debate, all had their say and PM had his own usual rhetoric. Of course, opposition expressed their solidarity and rightly so, as the issue is of national security. But PM still owes an answer to the nation : Why when MEA Jaishankar says China attempted to erect a structure on OUR side of Gulwan, PM supports Chinese version of the story that there has been no intrusion" ? Obviously one of them is lying and considering the martyrdom of 20 of our soldiers, it isn't Mr Jaishankar.

Air force saying well prepared ..means what... China is having more than 1000 nuclear arms.... and well equipped fighter jets.. India is having only 120 nuclear arms.. and countable fighter jets... and 10 times more military force...
Can India withstand China.... cannot...China is having well managed military but India is political military...
It's better to solve through dialogue...... ok our PM and home minister are illiterate but defence minister doing...what foreign minister doing..what the PM advisers doing..

There are somethings called Trust, faith and belief. You may not have any of that, but yesterday in a clear show of solidarity and strength, 18 of the 20 opposition parties rallied with our Prime Minister, that's very good in a democracy.

    Well-prepared? May be.

But will the civilian leadership - that DOES NOT NAME China - give the permission?

All the businessmen from the Choksi-state will go bankrupt if they can't import stuff from China.

I understand we are well prepared to respond. But are we in a position to face the retaliation?
Just consider the number of fighter jets that China has against ours.
We should use our 'yukthi' than our 'shakthi' at the prevailing circumstances.
