Muslim body issues fatwa for boycott of Chinese goods

Bareilly (UP), Jun 21 (IANS): The All India Tanzeem Ulama-e-Islam, a religious and social organisation headed by five senior clerics, has issued a fatwa to boycott Chinese products in the country.

The clerics said the community members should stand with the army and government in this hour.

Expressing concern over India-China face-off, National general secretary of All India Tanzeem Ulama-e-Islam, Maulana Shahabuddin Rizvi expressed concern over the India-China face-off and said, "A fatwa has been passed for boycotting Chinese products on a query posted by a Bareilly-based resident. The clerics in the fatwa have condemned the conspiracy of China to encroach upon Indian land and the killing of our brave soldiers."

The panel of five clerics includes the national president of All India Tanzeem Ulama-e-Islam Mufti Ashfaq Hussain Qadri, Mufti Iqbal Ahmad Misbah, Mufti Tauqir Ahmad Qadri, Mufti Hashim Raza Khan and Qari Saghir Ahmad Rizvi.

After the 'demonetisation' our small and medium scale industries are hardly surviving. It is the Chinese who has filled the vacuum by dumping Cheap commodities that helped the retail sector to survive with low profit margin. By boycotting we are killing our retail market which doesn't have any other alternate source nor has domestic capability.

The initiative has to come from the ruling BJP government. Many of us do not even now that Defense Minister Rajanath Singh has signed as recently as in 2017 and is in the process of delivering 1.86 lakh bullet-proof jackets to the Army. Only few days before Delhi-Meerut Railway project worth of Rs 1126 crores has been awarded to Shanghi based company ignoring Indian own companies.
A report published by Gateway House, a think-tank associated with the Indian Council on Global Relations, estimates $4 billion of Chinese tech investment in Indian startups. The Alibaba Group alone has strategic investments in Big Basket ($250 million), Paytm.com ($400 million), Paytm Mall ($150 million), Zomato ($200 million) and Snapdeal ($700 million).

Similarly, another Chinese group, Tencent Holdings, has investment in Indian firms like Byju’s ($50 million), Dream11 ($150 million), Flipkart ($300 million), Hike Messenger ($150 million), Ola ($500 million) and Swiggy ($500 million). Additionally, these Chinese firms are not the sole owner of these platforms. Many Indian and non-Chinese investors hold majority control in most of these companies, making it difficult to classify them as Chinese or non-Chinese. These insights negate any immediate ideas of rhetorical boycott calls without acknowledging the associated benefits India reaps from this relationship.

I would request Muslim bodies rather than boycott start 'Crowd funding' for martyr soldiers. Many of this solider from poor background live abrupt debt.

It doesn't make any difference to China because it does not depend on India alone for its products. See how much the impact by our boycott. On the other hand our government can not stop giving its contracts to Chinese companies because of thier personal interest.

In 1991 Goverment of India under the leadership of prime minister late Sri PV Narasimha Rao signed a pact called Globalization of Indian market to make India economic gaint in the global market. Rruling Govt, cannot break the laws and this is against the agreement signed. So govt cannot stop the import of forien goods but solution is people can stop buying forien goods.

Good move as communist chinese are masters in using race against race or religion against religion to bring disgrace to races or religions and bring their Godless atheistic rule everywhere to control the world. But as we all believers in God need to pray for them so that God enlighten them from doing away from their wicked acts against humanity, against our country and other countries.
