Udupi, Feb 13: “The society has turned technology-savvy. People now-a-days, have been yearning to reap fruits and benefits without working hard and earning them. This is not proper. Because of this desire, the mainstream of the society has been witnessing lot of terrorism, corruption and anarchy in the country,” analyzed Sri Esha Vittaladasa Swamiji of Kemar Sandeepani Ashram.

He was delivering benedictory address at the religious meet held at historically famous Minchinabavi Daivaraja Kordabbu Daivasthana of Kanchinadka in Padubidri in the district on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri festival, on Friday February 12.

“Let personally everyone strive to achieve universal brotherhood. This will pave way for peace to settle in the society. Corruption has now spread from political and social fields, to even religious sector. Violent attitude is on the rise.  If the parents give education about cultured behaviour and rich heritage of the country to their children since their childhood, we would be able to stop this evil development,” the Swamiji opined.

Zilla panchayat member, Shashikant Padubidri, presided over the function. Dr Manojkumar Shetty, Padubidri JCI president, Harish Hejmady, gram panchayat member, Ummer Farooq etc., participated as guests.

Organizing Committee president, Dinesh Kotian, welcomed. Lokesh Kanchinadka presented the programme and proposed vote of thanks.

Namaskaar Kemaru swamiji...Well said. In olden days parents were poor to give good college eduction, but they were giving moral education at least. Nowadays few parents have money to give college education, but they don't have time to give moral education. Some don't have time & money for both type of education. Hence we are noticing such menace in Mangalore. It is better people realise there is much more than money alone.
