Mangalore Links to Pune Bakery Blast?
Mangalore, Feb 15 (DHNS): Police are said to be trying to find out whether there are any Mangalore links to Pune blasts.
It may be recalled that Riaz Bhatkal, a native of Bhatkal, is known for recruiting youths for terror activities in coastal region.
Syed Mohammed Naushad and Ahmed Bawa arrested in Ullal a year ago had confessed to the police that they were getting instructions from Riaz Bhaktal, a key operative of Lashkar-e-Taiba in South India. Police are suspecting Riaz Bhatkal’s involvement in Pune blasts.
However, IGP (Western Range) B Gopal Hosur has refused to comment on the issue.
Sources told Deccan Herald that the Union Ministry of Home Affairs has alerted the Karnataka police to look into any links where Riaz Bhatkal’s aides were arrested earlier.
