Mangalore, Feb 15: “The minds which have unlimited love automatically get inclined to sacrifice for others, and thereby experience the blissful experience that comes with genuine sacrifices,” said Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma), delivering the benedictory address at the second day of the ‘Satsanga’ programme organized during her visit to the city on account of the annual celebrations of Brahmasthana of the city unit of her Mutt on Sunday February 14.

“The work one puts up in the worldly environment is backed by selfish motives. Unselfish efforts are hard to find. The efforts that are put by having due regard to the environment in which they are rendered, and the purpose of such efforts, tend to prove fruitful. We should keep remembering that our body, land, air, water etc., have been presented in the form of a precious gift by the Lord. We should always teach the children high values,” she added.

Amma stressed that unbridled love and happiness are the two most precious assets one can earn in his life. “Success comes to you naturally, if sublimity radiates through your behaviour, words, deeds and love. Let the world illuminate with these qualities,” she wished.

“Fate is the result of our deeds in our previous births. We should always concentrate on the present, and expect the good in the future. While planning for the future, we should never lose sight of the present,” she added.

A large number of devotees thronged Amma’s programme on Sunday. Various pujas had been organized at the venue since Sunday morning. Amma individually met every devotee and hugged them all through the night of Saturday.
