Mumbai, Jun 25: The Coronil medicine launched by Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Ayurveda is banned by the Maharashtra government. The ban was imposed on Thursday June 25, after the claim as treatment to cure COVID-19.
The decision to ban was taken after the Uttarakhand government clarified that the Patanjali had applied for a license for immunity booster which further stated that it was for cough and fever and not for COVID-19.\
Taking to Twitter, Anil Deshmukh, the state home minister said that the National Institute of Medical Sciences, Jaipur would ascertain if the clinical trials of 'Coronil' medicine were conducted at all.
“Claims of a cure for Corona without sharing clinical trials, sample size details, registration with authorities can't be acceptable. It’s great that @moayush banned such advt. There can be no compromise with public health & well-being at all,” Anil Deshmukh tweeted.
