Domicile law illegal, unconstitutional: Farooq Abdullah

Srinagar, Jun 28 (IANS): Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Sunday said that the domicile law is unconstitutional and illegal.

Speaking to reporters in South Kashmir's Anantnag district, he said he is not going to accept anything that is unconstitutional.

"We are united against everything they have done, it is illegal, unconstitutional. How do you think I am going to accept something what is unconstitutional," Farooq said.

Taking about the current stand-off between India and China at the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh, he said war is no solution to resolve the disputes between the countries.

"India-China or India-Pakistan, the only future is talks, war is not a solution," he said.

Farooq Abdullah along with two other former chief ministers -- his son Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti were detained after the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019. Public Safety Act or the PSA was slapped on all three of them. His PSA was revoked and he was released in March.

"God has given me the strength that I needed in these eight months that I stayed in," he said.

Farooq Abdullah is correct about: "India-China or India-Pakistan, the only future is talks, war is not a solution,"

Because No one wins a war, In war winner loose his pants. As India belong to Indians Kashmir also belong to Kashmiris. All wars between Pakistan & China including 1971 Bangladesh war never benefited India. India lost it people and got millions of refuges from all wars.

Presently Kashmir is occupied in the north by China (Akashi Chin & parts of Ladakh) & in the west occupied by Pakistan called Azad Kashmir or Pakistan occupied Kashmir and in the south east by India called Jammu & Kashmir & parts of Ladakh. Kashmir existed before Pakistan & India as an Independent country and whole of Kashmir was given to India by the ruler of Kashmir Maharaja Jai Singh & his Prime minister Shake Abdullah with agreement called Article 370 of the constitution & India lost its rights to Kashmir by canceling Article 370.

India did worst to Kashmir & its people.
    (1) India lost western parts of Kashmir to Pakistan in 1948 India-Pakistan war (Azad Kashmir or Pakistan occupied Kashmir)
    (2) India lost Northern parts of Kashmir to China in 1962 Indo-China war and in 2020 by killing & chasing Indian solders.
    (3) India was never able to love Kashmiri people or integrate Kashmir in to India.
(4). India never benefited by having parts of Kashmir. India lost thousands of it young solders and billions of resources and Kashmir remained bad luck to India.
(5). China greatly benefitted with Kashmir by having a road link between China & Arabian Sea through Northern parts of Kashmir & Pakistani occupied Kashmir.
(6). Pakistan greatly benefited with Kashmiri dispute with India by getting charitable givings by it fellow muslim nations & Financial aid by developed western countries. Due to Kashmiri dispute Pakistan also able to become friend with China & USA. Pakistan maintains better diplomatic relations with China & USA and get financial & military aid as needed.

Probably he is running short of funds to maintain his royal living. As most of the illegal sources of funds has been blocked by Modi government, he is trying to provoke the Modi government to again detain him at government expenses.

FYI, Rahul Gandhi is one of 2 lakh Kashmiri Pandits by birth right. What is this BJP govt have done to them so far. They are demanding now not to give domicile certificates to terrorists denying Kashmiri Pandits birth right to be rehabilitated. Farooq Abullah is fully supporting and fighting along side Kashmiri Pandits.
