J&K records highest single-day Covid-19 deaths


Jammu, Jul 2 (IANS): Eight patients succumbed on Thursday in Jammu and Kashmir as the union territory on Thursday recorded the highest single-day Covid-19 deaths so far.

Doctors at different hospitals said eight Covid-19 patients succumbed as the total number of people killed by the dreaded virus rose to 115 in Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, 154 people tested positive on Thursday, 20 from Jammu division and 134 from Kashmir division as the total number of Covid patients in Jammu and Kashmir rose to 7,849.

So far, 4,974 people have completely recovered.

The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir is now 2,760 out of which 432 are in Jammu division and 2,328 are in Kashmir division.
