J&K's Covid-19 tally rises to 8,675, toll to 138


Jammu, Jul 6 (IANS): A total of 246 more people tested positive for coronavirus in J&K on Monday, taking the Union Territory's total number of Covid-19 patients to 8,675.

A statement issued by the Information and Public Relations Department said that the new cases comprised 36 in the Jammu division and 210 in the Kashmir division.

Six people infected with coronavirus succumbed in different hospitals of Kashmir on Monday, taking the UT's toll to 138.

As 5318 people have recovered completely, J&K's active cases now total 3,219, out of which 490 are in the Jammu division and and 2,729 are in the Kashmir division.
