Noida, Jul 8 (IANS): Even with the national capital struggling to keep its daily Covid-19 tally under the 2,000-mark, its neighbouring Gautam Buddh Nagar, which comprises Noida and Greater Noida, witnessed 81 new cases in the last 24 hours.
A total of 226 persons were discharged from different hospitals in the district after getting cured.
As per the data, a total number of 2,011 patients have recovered from the disease and discharged from the hospital in the district till now.
There are 969 active cases and 30 people have died so far in the district.
Overall, Uttar Pradesh, the country's most populous state, has a total of 9,980 active cases and 845 have succumbed to the deadly virus. It witnessed a total of 18 deaths in the last 12 hours.
