Rahul again attacks Modi on India-China LAC face-off

New Delhi, Jul 13 (IANS): Upping the ante against the BJP-led Central government over the India-China border face-off in Ladakh, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi indirectly accusing him of lying asleep and the nation paying the price for the same.

"He's 'lying' asleep. And India is paying for it," Rahul Gandhi said in the tweet attaching a news report.

The news report claimed that the Chinese moves were likely planned for months.

India and China were engaged in a bitter face-off in Ladakh's Galwan Valley after 20 Indian soldiers, including an officer, were killed by the People's Liberation Army (PLA) troopers on June 15. Rahul Gandhi's remarks came amid reports of the second round of talks with the Chinese authorities on the disengagement at the LAC in the Pangong Lake and Depsang areas in eastern Ladakh.

The government had announced on Thursday about the second round of talks with China.

The delegates of both countries will discuss the withdrawal of tanks, artillery and additional forces from the forward positions. "The next meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on the India-China border affairs is expected to take place soon," the External Affairs Ministry had announced.

The Chinese PLA has called back troops from Galwan Valley, Patrolling Point 15 and Hot Springs, said reports.

The Silence of the Govt on all issues concerning the Nation is leading to a Grave Trust Deficit. The Bagalkot skirmish had a external affairs ministry spokesman briefing the nation virtually every day. Such a briefing in the Galvan valley would have prevented all speculation as the country would like to know the Truth about this whole episode as twenty brave hearts have been killed in this operation and chinese are still in occupation of our territory.

The PM claims no Chinese have occupied any of our territory or entered into our territory. The Defence Minister, The external affairs Ministry and the Army Chief state that disengagement talks are under way and Chinese have agreed to withdraw from our territory.

Obviously there is some misinformation and that needs to be corrected so that the country gets to know the Truth.

This man doesn't seems to learn lesson. Don't attack Modi on issue of national security and corruption. Public trust Modi on these issues than Congress. That's the reality. Instead, concentrate on economy and job creation. Rahul gandhi spent entire campaign on Rafale deal calling Modi as corrupt. What happened in 2019 loksabha election? Public is not fool, Mr Gandhi...!!

Main stream media in India are all effectively controlled by BJP Modi so that no negative news of ruling party published. Many international news agencies agree on this.India keeps lid on some of the facts, whch is unfortunate in a so called democratic country. Only God can can help ,otherwise India has rough road ahead,
