Gurugram, Jul 14 (IANS): Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari laid foundation stones for 11 road projects on Tuesday.
Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, Chairman of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), said the 4-lane Gurugram-Mahendergarh road would cost Rs 4,500 crore and would be part of the NH 352W.
It will help ease traffic pressure on the Delhi-Jaipur NH 8.
He said 46.1 km Gurugram-Rewari part of the project would cost Rs 1,524 crore and be ready by December 2022. It will have 99 culverts, 12 small bridges, 13 under-passes, two flyovers and one road overbridge.
While Rs 2,300 crore will be spent on land acquisition and compensation, the rest will go into construction of the Rewari-Mahendergarh part of the project.
