Dubai: FAMAD Pernal to host Konkani Antakshari competition

Dubai, February 28: After the raging success of ‘Rang Tarang’ last year, FAMAD Pernal is all set to host ‘Humaid Al Suwaidi Rang Tarang-2010’, this year’s 3-in-1 extravaganza. This mega event will be held on Friday, May 7 at Dubai’s Emirates Auditorium in Emirates International School, located in Jumeirah, Dubai.
Main attraction of the event will be ‘Integrated Freight & Logistics FAMAD Antakshari’, a unique, glamorous Konkani competition for couples of all ages.

Some of the main features, rules and regulations of ‘Integrated Freight & Logistics FAMAD Antakshari’ are as follows:
- This competition is open for Konkani speaking people.
- The competition will be in Konkani comprising of Mangaloean Konkani songs. However, some regional/state/national languages will be included so as to enhance the entertainment.
- The competition is for male-female couples irrespective of relationship, age level, place or birth, parish or organization.
- Final day for sending your entry should be on or before 14 March, 2010, via daijiworld.com form or by email to famadpernal@gmail.com.
- There will be an elimination round prior to the finals. Tentative date of the elimination round will be 23 April, 2010 in Dubai (exact venue & time will be notified personally).
- Top 4 couples will march into finals, which will be held as a part of the mega event ‘Humaid Al Suwaidi Rang Tarang-2010’ to be held on May 7 at Emirates Theater in Emirates International School, Jumeira.
- An entry fee of AED 100/- will be charged along with completion of registration. (refundable if cancelled 7 days prior to elimination round).
- There will 2 prizes at the finals: winner - AED 3,000/- with a trophy, Runner-up - AED 1500/- with a trophy. Individual Prizes of ‘Voice of Famad Antakshari’, ‘Entertainer of the evening’ will be presented.
- All other finalists will be presented with trophies and certificates of participation.

About the event:
Humaid Al Suwaidi RANG TARANG 2010 is a part of the Famad Pernal’s anniversary celebrations and there will be loads of other entertainment events including a live musical as ‘LIVE IN CONCERT’ by a prominent Konkani singer and local artists. Also a short award winning performance by FAMAD Pernal’s stage artistes will be an additional attraction.
