New Delhi, Jul 15 (IANS): Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday took a pot shot at Narendra Modi government saying its foreign policy is in tatters and India is losing power and respect everywhere.

"India's global strategy is in tatters. We are losing power and respect everywhere and Government of India has no idea what to do," he said in a tweet attaching a news report.

The news report claimed that Iranian government has decided to proceed in the construction of a rail line on its own from Chabahar port to Zahaden along the border with Afghanistan citing delays from Indian side in funding and starting the project.

India had signed an agreement with Iran to construct a rail line from Chabahar port to Zahedan, along the border with Afghanistan.

Rahul Gandhi has been critical of the government in the recent days and has sharpened his attack on the government over several issues like handling of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic situation, face off with China in Ladakh and economic issues etc.

    India's foreign policy is deteriorating since BJP assumed office from 2014. Its now going bad to worse to worst and beyond. If one has good working eyes can easily see we have made all our neighbours enemies from Pakistan, China, Nepal, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Burma, Sri Lanka. Now even Iran who used to be India's friend is ignoring India. Nepal is even encroaching into our territory and even correcting Indian spiritual leaders on birth place of Ram and his nationality. A fellow Hindu state claiming this with proof is a challenge from its own community. Indian spiritual leaders have no concrete answer to it but only citing old sculptures, spiritual artifacts and broken devotee temple structures but no documented history and material evidences. There should not to be any dispute in this matter as it is a recognized fact and carried on from generation to generation. Even Russia and US are playing double games with India for thier own interest. India is in a very bad position with no money, no proper leadership and worst self destructing internal and external policies. Everyday it seems we are vulnerable to be sold to some country for a cheap price.

    Chabahar project was very crucial to India and loosing this project very big blow for Indian strategic importance and now china will take over that project and we lost one of our good friend Iran. Bhakths may joke of Rahul Gandhi but truth is we lost our importance in so many countries

    The whole of India,all media included yesterday deciphered the ' Policy ' of the Congress these days and shred it to bits calling the leadership inept and ineffective.
    This fellow who cannot frame an ' Internal Policy ' in his own party of sycophants is talking of Global Policy ! Gone case.... Not even. 58 % now !

    No Doubt India that was once looked up with respect all across the Globe is slowly heading towards being totally isolated in the comity of Nations . All our neighbours have deserted us. we have lost the Goodwill amongst all the countries of West Asia. The European Union Countries are no longer interested in India and view us with suspicion. It is not only the Pandemic that has put a stop to Modi's foreign Jaunts but the negative image potrayed by the foreign media of India across the Globe

    Modi and Amit Shah have caused irreparable damage to our country in every sphere. Most selfish people who are only interested in winning elections to reain in power and just not bothered about the country. Suit Boot Ki Sarkar with the Gujaratis benifitting the Most.
