Gehlot fires fresh salvo at Pilot, says he played dirty game

Jaipur, Jul 20 (IANS): Amid the ongoing political turmoil in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday fired a fresh salvo at his political rival Sachin Pilot alleging that he played a very dirty game and conspired to topple his own government. After terming him 'Nikamma' (useless) and 'Nakara' (purposeless), he ended his speech saying Satyamev Jayate.

This was the second time in the last one week when Gehlot opened all fronts against Pilot who was recently sacked as deputy chief minister and PCC chief.

Speaking to the media, Gehlot said, "There was no lack of respect for Pilot in the party, but he played a very dirty game and conspired to please the BJP."

Gehlot also questioned his lawyers' expense and said, "Harish Salve is fighting his case, where is so much money coming from? It's anarchy being reported inside the country. Amid all these, Pilot's face and character have been exposed. Our MLAs are held hostage in Gurgaon (Gurugram)," he added.

Gehlot said, "We knew he was good for nothing (Hum jaante they ye nikamma hai, nakara hai, koi kaam nahi kar raha hai, khali logon ko ladwa raha hai. Main yahan koi baingan bechne nahi aaya hun, main koi sabzi bechne nahi aaya hun (I knew he was good for nothing, had no better work than instigating people to fight. I have not come here to sell vegetables.)

The Chief Minister said that some MLAs from the Pilot camp are now saying that their mobile phones have been forcefully taken away and that they want to return to the party fold.

"You might have never heard in history that a party's state head is busy toppling his own government," he said before ending his address saying 'Satyamev Jayate'.

The fathers of both Pilot and Scindia died young but the Congress and the first family indulgently looked after them, giving them positions far bigger than what their age and experience would warrant. They became MPs at a young age – Pilot at 26 – and Union ministers in their 30s. Pilot was made deputy chief minister of Rajasthan in 2019, and, in contravention of the party’s own rule, was also given the post of the Pradesh Congress Committee president, which gave him immense power over the state unit of the party. He was a success story in every way, the envy of many senior party leaders.

Junior Scindia on the other hand lost the parliamentary and the assembly elections, but was still reportedly offered the deputy chief ministership of Madhya Pradesh, which he declined.

Today Pilot and Scindia who has got most from Congress at his young age now satisfied with Deputy Chief Minister post, happy with symbolic Rajya Sabha seat. This Pilot walking in the foot steps of Gwalior dynasty of traitors has spoiled his own career and disrespect the soul and respect of his father.

Gehlot has rightly said that the BJP has become a shameless party with no Principles or Ethics. While the country is grappling with a serious Pandemic, the central Govt is busy destabilisin opposition ruled state govts with inducements and threats of action by the central enforcement agencies.

This is the Ugly face of Modi's Maan Ki Baat and his innocent pretentions behind TV cameras in his repeated address to the nation. No doubt he has not addressed a Single Press Conference in the last six years so that he need not be confronted with such glaring attempts to drail Democracy in our country and all issues concerning the country and its people.

All those in the BJP who have a Conscience and Love for our country should Resign from the BJP to save our country.
