Udupi: Naxal Sympathizer Arrested, Released

Udupi, Mar 4: The police arrested an alleged naxal sympathizer near Muniyal, Hebri here in the wee hours of Wednesday March 3.

Sources in the police department identified him as Sadashiva Gowda, a resident of Mairoli-Mutlupady in Andar village, when he tried to escape from the scene when queried on purpose of his being present there. He further also misled police on his identity. 

He was arrested on the charge of providing logistic support to naxals and then later released. It can be recalled here that the person was arrested two years ago and sentenced to eleven months jail stay.
