Mangalore: TOI Photojournalist's Quest for Learning Makes Him MCJ Topper

Mangalore, Mar 5: Quest for knowledge is unquenchable. Ravi Posavanike, senior photojournalist, The Times of India, who secured the sixth rank in MA (Mass Communication and Journalism) examinations of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), Mysore has proved the case in point. The convocation was held in Mysore on Thursday March 4.
Ravi, an ace photographer, is known for his special skills in photography that has brought about uniqueness and rendered interesting insight into otherwise routine work of clicking snaps for news. Besides being a senior cameraman and visits as resource person in photography workshops, he has also contributed human interest articles for the TOI.
Ravi hails from Beernakaje in Kolthige village of Puttur taluk. After completing his schooling from Perlampady Higher Primary School and Shanmukha Deva High School in Perlampady, he joined St Aloysius College in the city.
Other Achievers at KSOU Examination
Other rank holders from Mangalore included Swetha who secured first rank in MA (Hindi) while Shri Devi Bhat secured the second rank in M Com with Sandhya Vani coming in third as well as Amitha Patricia Albuquerque and Pratima Nayak who shared sixth rank, and Bhavyashree M V who secured the ninth rank.
Puja secured ninth rank in MA Sociology and Lavita D’Almeida the tenth rank. Agnes A secured the sixth rank in MA English while Maria Flavia Dias secured the tenth rank.
Divyajyothi secured fourth rank in MA Sanskrit while Shailaja got the tenth rank in MA Economics.
In M LiSc, Prima Renita Lobo secured seventh rank, Jyothi M eighth rank, Bharathi K tenth rank, and Mary Letitia Menezes secured the third rank in BA.
