Hope PM won't give place to opportunists: Kamal Nath

New Delhi, Jul 24 (IANS): Amid the buzz of a cabinet reshuffle in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath in a letter to Modi has said that he hopes the defectors will be not be given a place in the cabinet and asked him to save the democratic values.

The letter is an indirect attack on BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia, who took oath as Rajya Sabha MP on Wednesday, and is likely to be inducted in the Union Cabinet after he led a successful revolt against Kamal Nath, which led to the fall of the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh.

Attacking the Central government, Kamal Nath said, "It's not a matter of the Congress government only, but the whole democratic setup has been shaken. There is a kind of earthquake in the democratic setup and I doubt that at the centre of this is the Centre (Union government). I hope my doubts are baseless."

He further alleged that there is always an attempt to destabilize the government through unfair means wherever the opposition is in power.

On Thursday, another Congress MLA resigned from the party, dashing the hopes of Congress of making a comeback in the state after the by-elections.

Congress is facing a similar revolt in Rajasthan where 18 MLAs along with former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot have rebelled and the matter is pending at the Rajasthan High Court.

Gehlot has rightly said that the BJP has become a shameless party with no Principles or Ethics. While the country is grappling with a serious Pandemic, the central Govt is busy destabilisin opposition ruled state govts with inducements and threats of action by the central enforcement agencies to Intimidate and Harass Political Opponents. The day is not far when State Govts will start filing cases against central Ministers.

This is the Ugly face of Modi's Maan Ki Baat and his innocent pretentions behind TV cameras in his repeated address to the nation. No doubt he has not addressed a Single Press Conference in the last six years so that he need not be confronted with such glaring attempts to drail Democracy in our country and all issues concerning the country and its people.

Inducting Jyotiraje Scindia in the cabinet will prove the quid pro quo for bringing down of a legitimate State Govt in MP and that PM himself being involved in destroying Democracy in our country.

All those in the BJP who have a Conscience and Love for our country should Resign from the BJP to save our country.

    Anthony
First you set ur House in order and then start commenting about others
Why BJP ppl should resign? They have been democratically elected by people. And the President of BJP is also elected as per internal democracy of the party. Where as khangress doesn't have internal democracy and only one family enjoys the presidents hip of the party since a very long time. Now it has part time president since Aug 19 but the person belongs to same family.
But unfortunately both the past and present presidents plus newly elected State President all r out on bail for criminal offences. Shame on such party
