Indian spy satellite passes over Tibet, China mobilises troops

New Delhi, Jul 26 (IANS): India's premier intelligence-gathering satellite EMISAT, operated by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has taken a good look at the positions of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) in occupied Tibet.

The satellite which carries Kautilya, an ELINT (electronic intelligence) package whose "capabilities are among the most highly-classified and closely-guarded aspects of an operation for military purposes on Saturday carried out a pass over PLA positions in occupied Tibet near Arunachal Pradesh," an official source said.

Built by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), EMISAT's ELINT missions monitor radio signals which are used to determine the nature and location of all the sources of transmissions in an enemy area.

The satellite pass came a day after talks between India and China over the stand-off over Chinese structures on Finger 4 area along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Pangong Tso in Ladakh, made no headway, even as both sides have agreed to continue their meetings aimed at disengagement and de-escalation.

Sources said the Chinese troops have also been mobilised in Depsang sector, as soldiers could be spotted digging the area on their side of the LAC. The PLA had also intruded into Depsang in 2013.

On Friday, sources said, Indian radar reconnaissance satellite RISAT-2BR1 carried out a pass over Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) base in Djibouti in the Horn of Africa. The base is the PLAN's first overseas military base, built at a massive cost. Recently, there were reports that three Chinese warships are in the waters near the Djibouti coast.

On July 11, EMISAT's ELINT (Project Kautilya) carried out a pass near Pakistan Navy's Ormara base (Jinnah Naval Base). The base also has submarine berthing facilities and has reportedly hosted Chinese submarines in recent years.

Though India and China remain engaged in talks over the LAC standoff, there is speculation in Ladakh and Kashmir that Pakistan and China are preparing for a two-front war against India during the coming winter.

After ruining economy / production through weapon grade virus in many countries are communist Chinese and Russians planning for total control of the world?

More heavenly warnings on China and Russia dated 24 July...

“The world is slowly moving towards the Great Chastisement, which is the Third World War. Watch China and Russia move swiftly, because America, Australia and Britain are being misled – even though the evil one makes it very clear of what is to come upon the world very soon. China is the espionage champions of the world...spy camera, pen camera, shirt camera etc. etc. they are hysteric about collecting secret information secretly... they spy on others but do not allow themselves to be spied upon...even at the slightest provocation, they put foreigners in jail on espionage charges...it is not really a good thing but... let alone other countries, even USA is a bit afraid of this technology, espionage and military monster...through the pretext of communications companies, China has already spied on most of the world...

I don't think Chinese wants to taste defeat this time. They just want to scare our army.. suppose if they come to Ladak and capture some city then only Indians need to worry.. otherwise going for any war is not a solution..

    Don't worry Sri_elder,

There is no point in fighting for this land...If government succeeds in maintaining 50km buffer zone between two countries where Chinese can use the same to build some factories for corona vaccination, then that would be sufficient and diplomatic victory for our present government...

Land issues are complex in nature! From the last 120 years one our neighbors with just 6 cents of land has occupied around 1 acre of government land (which is suppose to belong to me and other neighbors) and they were able to create some documents by paying money to officials. I am feeling that even now they are not legitimate owners.. neeed to see how the government going to respond now

    Sri_elder,

You already said it "create some documents by paying money to officials" The problem is you and your neighbours were silent when he was doing all these things.

In the present scenario, to whom Chinese are going to pay money to get those documents?

    1. To the one who paid for a document that proves he has Masters Degree.
    2. To the one who got a Certificate from a 6 days crash course.
    3. The one who is responsible for home security but busy with horse trading.
    4. The one who is responsible for external security but have no power to do anything.

Obviously they have to pay the officials to get documents, not to someone who have nothing to do with offices.

There are people in this society just like your neighbours and yourself, who never bothered when that person increased his land from 6 cents to 1 acre. They are called blind bhakths who thinks someone will do something and it is not our responsibility.

At least there is someone who keep asking the government about this China issue but the blind bhakths makes fun of him when he and we are all have the right to ask the government about the latest updates.
Where we are going to end, if we keep silent? 6 cents to 1 acre??

We are capable and its not science fiction. IF we dont agree on the political ideology of some party, that doesn't make the national security to be hackled. Its good move by government to know the were about of Chinese through satellite.

    Prashant,

That's why the previous governments invested in technology like ISRO, DRDO, not invested on Statues and Mandirs.
We're capable is very brave word. It's always good to have confidence but over confidence can kill you.
Are you still thinking that if China and Pakistan (as stated in report) attack India together, India is still capable to repulse them??
India lost it's neighbors to china one by one. China built ports in Sri Lanka as well, if you're not aware. You already know where is Nepal now? Neither Burma is our close friend.

What we don't know now is "how much Chinese spy satellites watch our defense forces preparation"
You look too confident even without knowing enemy's capability.

I feel this is very sensitive information. Sounds good to ears but it compromises Indian defense capabilities. Normally these things are done in secretive manner.
