Ayodhya, Jul 28 (IANS): With barely a week left for the 'bhumi pujan' of the new Ram temple in Ayodhya, differences seem to be emerging between members of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust supervising the construction work, including on the placing a time capsule in the site.
A day after trust's member Kameshwar Chaupal said that a time capsule would be place about 200 feet below the proposed Ram temple, trust's General Secretary Champat Rai on Tuesday put out a video message denying any such plan.
"There is no such proposal to put a time capsule and such reports are completely fabricated," he said in the message.
Chaupal had said: "The time capsule, known as 'Kaal Patra', will help anyone in the future who wishes to study the history of the temple, the temple movement and Ayodhya."
"The time capsule will be placed about 2,00 feet in the ground at the construction site. In future, anyone who wishes to study about the history of the temple, will get all facts related to Ram Janmabhoomi in the time capsule," he said. Chaupal could also not be contacted on Tuesday for comments.
No other trust member was available or ready to comment on the difference of opinion on the issue. Two trust members, who did not wish to be named, said: "We do not want to be a party to this dispute. There are several other issues that need to be resolved."
