Kuwait, Mar 8: Fighter IX bagged the Jenny Cup 2010 organized by Modern Star (Denis Barboza) at Abbasiya Grounds here, recently.
In all nine teams participated in the tournament held on the knockout basis. Farzan IX and Fighter IX reached the finals after preliminary rounds.
Fighter IX, who won the toss, elected to bat first. They scored 132 runs in the allocated eight overs. In terurn, Farzan IX would not manage to reach the target. Ejaz of Fighter IX was adjudged man of the match for scoring a quickfire 29 runs.
Gyan Flora, manager of Vandelli s p a, Italy) and Monthu Fourtado, owner of Alpha Kout Co were the chief guests of the occasion. Flora praised the organizers and all the teams for playing the tournament in true sporting spirit.
The winners cup was handed over to the captain of Fighter IX, Arafat by Flora. Monthu Fourtado presented the runner-up cup to Farzan IX.
