Ayodhya put on high alert following terror threat

Ayodhya, Jul 29 (IANS): With central intelligence agencies alerting the state police about possible attempts by terror groups to disrupt and sabotage the 'bhumi pujan' ceremony of Ram temple by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Ayodhya next week, all law enforcing agencies in Uttar Pradesh have been put on high alert.

Details of intel note shared with the state government say that an attempt is likely to be made by Pakistan's ISI backed terror organization to carry out an attack on August 5. The ISI has ordered the top leadership of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-i-Mohammed to launch an attack.

The terror strike could even be a lone wolf kind of attack or a strike in a crowded place. Based on human intelligence and electronic intercepts, its being suspected that a small group of terrorists can infiltrate the country.

According to official sources, security arrangements will be at an all-time high for the 'bhumi pujan' ceremony which, incidentally, coincides with the first anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370. The security alert will remain in place till August 15, Independence Day.

Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several top BJP leaders including L.K. Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti and many other leaders of the RSS are also expected to be present in the program which will also be marked by the presence of top industrialists and bureaucrats from the country.

The area from the Saket Mahavidyalaya, where the Prime Minister chopper will land, to the Ram Janmabhoomi site, has already been cordoned off and residents of Ramkot locality have been issued passes for commuting.

Regular security drills are being carried out and door-to-door checking is also being done.

A senior official in Ayodhya said that security personnel will be deployed on all rooftops and drone cameras will monitor the movement in this area.

Verification of all hotels, lodges, guesthouses is underway and the entry points to the holy city are being sealed.

Mr Rolf Hinduism is a way of life. It is not a religion. 99% of Hindus do not know Vedas ,Upanishads, Puranas etc. Hinduism is tradition based. there is no compulsion on visit temples etc. One can be an atheist and a perfect Hindu. There are millions of traditions within different groups of Hindus. There are various tribals whose beleifs are varied and they are grouped under Hindus. Nobody gives much to head foot etc. even if some of them do, they are in minority and as we move on number of such people will keep shrinking.

    Bhandarkar,

The word invading brought some other memory to me.
    1. You're not an Aryan but a Dravidan.
    2. You became a slave of Aryans, when they imposed their rule and custom on you.
    3. Aryans invaded this country long time ago when they were driven out from Persia.
    4. Aryans were not the native people of India but invaded from West Asia.

    Bhandarkar,

    1. Harward graduate Subbu Swamy would be the perfect fit for you.
    2. You can't change the history even the jokers of this government tries to change.
    3. For you, Godse might be Martyr but for me he is a terrorist and murderer.
    4. For you Savarkar might be the freedom fighter, but for me he is a boot licker of queen and sabotage of Indian's freedom movement.
    5. Same way, history says that the Dravidans are Indian's native people and Aryans came to India from West Asia.

I don't change the history because someone who can't think more than BJP and Raga in their brain asks me to do so.

Do we need a temple now when the country is reeling with a pandemic. We do not have proper hospitals our health care is totally exposed. The same money spent on constructing a temple can be used to improve our health care infrastructure. Saving thousands of lives from the pandemic will be far better. Our Government will be blessed if we improve the health care system.

Let the temple construction proceed as planned. It is a dream-come-true for many Hindus in this country. It is not going to affect badly or harm anyone of us. Funds for hospitals and other health care facilities even at this time of pandemic need not necessarily come from temple construction funds. Morover, GoI is not sponsoring financially to construct the temple. Building a temple is one of the way of showing our devotion and reverence to God. That's all.

Ram temple will not be built with govt fund , it is the devotees who will be contributing. Also it will not be built in a days time, will take atleast 2 yrs as per info. Moreover this is a long standing issue cleared by SC. When coming to Hindu temples you think about Pandemic, Health facilities etc. Why you are not objecting to so many Mosques and Churches built in this country, the funds utilized for those can be also contributed for improving health facilities of this country. Don't be biased.
