Mangaluru, Jul 29: The department of Computer Applications on July 29 conducted a webinar on ‘Cyber Security’.

Robinson D’Souza, founder- CyberSapiens United LLP was the resource person. He dwelt upon some of the major cyberattacks, careers in cybersecurity, how cybersecurity works and about cybersecurity awareness. He gave a demonstration of a man in the middle attack on the live website.

Sr Dr Venissa A C, principal, St Agnes College (Autonomous), while addressing the participants stressed on the fact that security is crucial for all individuals and organizations at all levels. There are risks involved while using technology. Sensitive data needs to be protected. Security measures aim to reduce vulnerability and attacks she said. Malavika Shetty, convenor and head of the department of Computer Applications welcomed the participants and introduced the resource person. Sreevalli Shetty, assistant professor in the department of Computer Applications proposed the vote of thanks.
