Railyatri opens another smart bus lounge in Delhi


New Delhi, Jul 30 (IANS): Railyatri opened a new SmartBus boarding lounge for bus users at R.K. Ashram on Panchkuian Road near Rajiv Chowk, here on Thursday.

The SmartBus lounges are designed on the lines of airline boarding gates for safe and convenient boarding of buses.

Railyatri has set up seven bus lounges across the country and plans to open four more shortly. It is operating SmartBus lounges in Lucknow, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. New lounges are likely in Gorakhpur, Jalandhar and Kanpur.

The SmartBus lounge comprises air-conditioned waiting area, free Wi-Fi with charging points, ample seating space, recliners for taking power nap, and basic amenities like clean drinking water, coffee and toilets.

The lounges also feature laptop desks for working professionals and staff to help the passengers board buses.

"The safety of passengers is and always will be of utmost importance to us. The new SmartBus lounge helps us in ensuring that passengers aren't exposed to situations that put their safety at risk. We wish to provide every IntrCity traveller a safe, convenient and reliable mode of transport through our buses," said Railyatri CEO and co-founder Manish Rathi.
