Chief priest of Ram temple sent on quarantine

Ayodhya, Aug 3 (IANS): Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, has been sent to home quarantine after his assistant Pradeep Das tested positive for Covid-19 three days back.

Acharya Satyendra Das, said, "As one of my assistants, Pradeep Das, tested Covid positive on July 30, the trust has asked me not to enter Ram temple premises for three days. I will not be performing 'bhumi pujan' as other priests have been engaged for that ceremony."

The Trust members declined to comment on the development.

    I think one by one withdrawing themselves from the event. One rumour is that Amit shah is a jain and he don't want to join Bhumi Pujan and declaring Covid positive is one of the easiest escape. There is lot more leaders want to stay away from this mega publicized event as this is the most difficult time for everyone, with Corona pandemic, economic condition of the country etc

    According to senior pandits, Acharyas of hinduism, the foundation ceremony is being organised at an inauspicious time. Therefore it seems few are deliberately withdrawing with some excuse and few are made scapegoats.
