Two brothers electrocuted in UP


Bhadohi, Aug 4 (IANS): Two brothers were electrocuted in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi district after they came in contact with a livewire connected to a water pump at their home.

The incident took place on Monday in Raraspur village in the Dhaurahara area and the victims have been identified as Nitish, 21, and Ritik, 19.

Their younger brother Roshan, 12, also sustained injuries.

According to reports, the three were getting ready to celebrate Raksha Bandhan.

The police said that they received an electric shock as the wire came in contact with water spread on the floor in an under-construction portion of their house.

They were taken to a hospital where they were declared brought dead.

The third brother is now out of danger.
