Priyanka Gandhi not visiting Shimla clarifies her office

New Delhi, Aug 7 (IANS): Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi's office has clarified that she is not visiting Shimla and the permission for visiting the Himachal capital was only sought for her children and domestic staff.

Her office told IANS that there "has been some mischief" and news of her visiting Shimla is "incorrect".

Her office was responding to news reports that Priyanka Gandhi along with her family members have sought permission to visit her Shimla home near the President Retreat for a few weeks.

Earlier in July, Priyanka Gandhi vacated her 35, Lodhi Estate residence after government cancelled her allotment citing withdrawal of the SPG.

The Congress leader is Incharge of Uttar Pradesh and is busy in preparing political roadmap for state Congress and chalking out course of action, her office added.
