Kundapur, Aug 10: Surabhi S Shetty, student of Sandeepan High school, Nagoor, Byndoor educational zone has bagged the second rank in the state, by scoring 624 marks in SSLC examinations.
She is the daughter of Uppunda residents Suresh Shetty and Seema Shetty. Surabhi said that she expected 625 marks and stated that she studied for over six to eight hours per day.
"Teachers at the school and parents at home have encouraged me well. I felt all the papers were easy. I was expecting 625 marks but I received one mark less in social science. I have requested for revaluation. I intend to pursue my pre-university education in science from Mangaluru and obtain a medical degree in the future," Surabhi said.
