Daijiworld Media Network - Kundapur (MS) Kundapur, Aug 10: Because of the unscientific way of construction of highways in the city limits, huge potholes develop on the roads during the monsoon. It becomes a nightmare for the vehicle drivers to drive on this road during the rainy season. The public is suffering due to the sloppy work done by the highway authority. MLA Halady Srinivas Shetty took to task the concerned officials on the spot on Monday, August 10. The officials sprang into action and started emergency repairs. Shetty was himself present till the repair work was done.
The MLA instructed the officials to correct the system and make way for the rainwater to flow. Connections were made to the drainage system. Shetty was present himself at Kundapur, Basrur and Moorkai areas and got the roads repaired.

Hi-ways or Low-ways (meaning ordinary roads, by lanes, or streets) should all of them last more 20 years, .... why only Highways? ....
Who is responsible for all this mess? Why we have to do emergency repairs? Every one knows monsoon season when it starts and when it ends.Cannot Political leaders and in charge officials take precaution measure before monsoon rain starts?MLA and Ministers need to visit twice to repair roads and to clear water? Do we require supporters here? Some of them not wearing masks, Police are not taking action here? Covid rules and regulations only for weaker section and poors?Safe distance is not applicable here?Can't we at least follow rules?
