Eric D'Souza New President of UK Konkans

Media Release

Mar 19: UK Konkans members met on 27th February 2010 to elect Office Bearers for the years 2010-12.  Outgoing president – Raphael D’Souza welcomed the members and placed the Biennial report outlining various achievements and financial report for the last two years.

Following Office bearers were elected by unanimous decision.

President - Eric D’Souza
Vice President – Irene Lobo
Secretary - Tom D’Souza
Cultural Secretary - Gratian D’Silva
Treasurer - Michael D’Souza
Web Administrator - Melwyn Vaz
Public Relations – Raphael Dsouza
 
The new president – Eric D’Souza who is also the founder member of UK Konkans, is very enthusiastic about the future activities of UK Konkans. He has promised to reach out to all Mangaloreans living in and around London.
 
He emphasised that the young generation will be encouraged to show their talents and at the same time help them to learn Mangalorean culture and family values.
 
He also requested all Mangaloreans living in UK to take part in various functions and activities organised by UK Konkans and Mangalorean Associations near to their areas.
