Udupi: St Cecily’s English Medium School Celebrates Golden Jubilee

Udupi, Mar 19: The golden jubilee celebration of St Cecily’s English Medium Primary School was held at the school grounds here, recently.
 
Episcopal vicar Fr Baptist Menezes offered the thanksgiving Holy Mass before the stage programme. 


MLA Raghupati Bhat inaugurated the programme. On the occasion, former union minister and Rajya Sabha member Oscar Fernandes launched the website. Sr M Olivia, provincial superior of The Apostolic Carmel, Karnataka province presided.
 
Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza of Mangalore was among the chief guest. Former MP Vinay Kumar Sorake, block education officer D Manjunathiah and Mumbai based Mallya Films producer Gopi Mallya too were present.  
 
Sr Maria Savitha, superior and head teacher of school was present on the dais.

Stella welcomed the gathering. The cultural programmes were held as part of the entertainment events.

    Congratulations. Keep going. We are proud of this institution. My daughter studied here. I would proudly say this St Cecily's school is jewel of Udupi. It is only one of girls school in whole of Udupi district. I call upon every person of Udupi to support this good instituion in their future endeavours.
