Bantwal: Carmel College, Modankap organizes international webinar

Bantwal, Aug 14: The commerce and business administration department of Carmel College, Modankap organized a one-day international webinar on the topic ‘The Role of Teachers in Moulding Current Generation with the effective Globalskills on August 12.

Dr Owen Fernandes, MBA, PhD, coach/trainer/speaker/mentor Leadership Slovak Republic USA was the resource person.

Dr Sr Latha Fernandes AC principal, Carmel College Modankap welcomed and introduced the resource person to the participants.



Dr Owen Fernandes conducted two sessions:

I Session: "Leading the Millennial Generation-Challenges and opportunities"

Resource person explained millennial characteristic's, millennials view on post-secondary education, degrees of innovation, global skills for the 21st-century student, personal development, leadership development, descriptive leadership.

II Session: "Teachers leading as Models"

Resource person said teaching this generation is a challenge for the millennials teachers, teachers leading as a role model, he stressed that the teachers are the light and salt and how the teachers can cope up with present generation.  

The webinar lasted for three hours and was very interactive and informative. It captivated the teaching fraternities of various institutions. More than 90 participants pooled in the Zoom app. It received humongous appreciation from its audience. The presentation concluded with the resource speaker taking questions and answering a series of questions raised by the participants.

Vinitha Nishma Veigas Hod of business administration department co-compered the programme, Madhurak lecturer in economics delivered the vote of thanks.

Vinitha Veigas and Joel Mascarenhas were the co-ordinators of the webinar.
