Belthangady: Holy Redeemer School celebrates Independence Day

Belthangady, Aug 15: Holy Redeemer School in the city celebrated 74th Independence Day. The new correspondent of the school Fr Joseph Alphonse Cardoza hoisted the flag.

In his address, Fr Cardoza said, "Our country has got independence due to the sacrifice of the freedom fighters. We have to live in harmony and help each other."

Fr Jason Moniz, headmaster of the school directed the programme.



Aloysius Lobo, vice president of parish council, Pauline Rego, secretary and members were present. Several devotees of Belthangady church were present and saluted the national flag.

The programme was compered by co-teacher Lorna Lobo. Shanti Pereira welcomed the gathering and the vote of thanks was rendered by Sharath Pinto.
