Mumbai: Restaurant manager booked for stealing sushi knives, 50 liquor bottles worth 4.23 lac

Mumbai, Aug 16: Tardeo police have registered a case under section 381 (Theft by clerk or servant of property in possession of master) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the manager of a Japanese restaurant in South Mumbai.

Owners have filed a complaint that 50 liquor bottles, set of Sushi knives among other things from the restaurant are missing when the place was closed during the lockdown.

One of the partners Mr Aftab Iqbal Moon, has filed the complaint. He has alleged that 50 liquor bottles, set Sushi knives, microwave oven and many other edible items total worth Rs 4.23 lac are missing.


When owners inquired with the manager he did not give satisfactory answers and switched off his mobile phone.
