Punjab's Plaksha University to start inaugural course in 2021


Chandigarh, Aug 17 (IANS): Plaksha University will start its inaugural undergraduate course in August 2021 in its Mohali campus near Chandigarh, the university said on Monday.

It has received a 'Letter of Intent' from the Punjab government under the Punjab Private Universities Policy, 2010.

International institutions like UC Berkeley, Purdue University and SRI International (erstwhile Stanford Research Institute) have partnered with Plaksha.

The university will initially take 1,000 students. By 2035 it aims to have 6,000 students, an official statement said.
