Kundapur boat capsize - Bodies of three missing fishermen found

Kundapur, Aug 18: The bodies of three fishermen, who went missing after their boat capsized at Koderi, Kirimanjeshwara, were found late night on Monday August 17.

The bodies were identified to be Shekhar Kharvi (39), Lakshman Kharvi (34) and Manjunath Kharvi (40).

The mortal remains of 55-year-old Naga were recovered in the morning on Monday.

It may be recalled, in a very tragic incident, a boat under the name 'Sagarashri' capsized due to the high waves herein Koderi, Kirimanjeshwara with 11 fishermen on board on Sunday August 16. Four of the fishermen went missing while other others were rescued.

    In our nation, basic valuable life saving equipments, are not provided, if available they are not used !!! Life jackets would have saved these fishermen... RIP !!!
