Mangaluru: Independence Day held at St Ann's Campus

Mangaluru, Aug 18: The 74th Independence Day celebration was co-hosted with great fervour and patriotism by St Ann’s Higher Primary School and St Ann’s High School, Bolar, here at the St Ann’s PU College grounds. The programme was attended by the staff and sisters of the campus.

Sr Rosemita AC, headmistress, St Ann’s Higher Primary School welcomed the gathering. The provincial superior, Karnataka Province, Sr Shamitha AC, Sr Shubha AC, education secretary, Karnataka province, Sr Marie Lucy AC, joint secretary of St Ann’s campus institutions as chief guest unfurled the national flag. In her message, Sr Marie Lucy AC invigorated the feelings of patriotism by recalling Rabindranath Tagore’s, prayer for India.



The solemnity of the programme was enhanced by the beautiful rendition of the National Anthem and flag song by the sisters. Zeeta, shared her views on the significance of the day. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Ganesh Acharya. The programme was compered by Loretta Pearl.
