Muscat, Mar 21:
Coastal Cricket Team (CCT) under the leadership of Yuvaraj, a leading Mangalorean social activist and cricket enthusiast, organized the finals of the Annual Hamdan Coastal Cricket Tournament 2010, on Friday 19th March 2010 at Bausher Municipality grounds from 4:30 p.m. onwards. The two categories of this tournament were Junior Cup and Senior Cup. There were 24 Junior teams and 8 senior teams who participated in this prestigious tournament.

All the participating teams played to their best attempt keeping the scores and sprits very high. The final of junior cup was played between Royal Challengers – Mangalore and Baladiya 11, which was the wining team. The senior cup final was played between Tayseer 11 and Orbital 11 and the winners were Tayseer 11. 

The winners were honored by S. K. Poojary, a leading Businessman of the Sultanate of Oman, social activist and promoter of Tulu Traditional programs in Oman, Jeewandas Jogi of Hamdan Trading (Dunlop Tire Division) and Melwyn Sequeira. The award ceremony was conducted by Jerald Mascarenhas - member of the managing committee of the Coastal Cricket Team and is the Divisional Manager of Hamdan Transport Division. The commentator for this tournament was Wilson D’ Souza who kept the crowd updated and cheerful. 













































Jerald Mascarenhas delivered the final speech, thanking the teams for the participation and congratulated the winning teams. He thanked the sponsors for their support to carry out this tournament. He then called all the organizers to the podium to thank them for their efforts to bring forward this tournament to all cricket lovers.

“We had a fantastic Cricket season this year” smiling Mr. Jerald Mascarenhas told  Daijiworld.com team. “ All the teams have presented their cricket spirit and abilities in the finest form. Everything went on smoothly and we enjoyed a good cricket here. ”  Jerald is a strong supporter of many community events and social causes.
