Mangalore, Mar 21: Srinivas College of Hotel Management organized ‘SPRING – 2010’, a theme based food festival on Saturday March 20.

Chief guest M Shekhar Pujari, president of Mangalore Management Association and assistant general manager, Aspinwall & Co Ltd inaugurated the event.

The theme for 'SPRING - 2010', Indian cuisine had on display 17 mouth-watering dishes along with a chat counter. Games counter and cultural programmes were the highlight of the evening. 

Presiding over the function, Raghavendra Rao, president of A Shama Rao Foundation stressed on the need to train students on event management and guest relation skills by organizing such programmes. 

A Srinivas R Rao, vice-president of A Shama Rao Foundation, Vijayalakshmi R Rao, managing director of Hotel Srinivas, D Shashikala R Rao, secretary of A Shama Rao Foundation, and Prof Anet Florence, principal of the college were present.

The food festival was an attempt to integrate the society with activities of the college.
