Mangalorean Bhandary Bags National Swimming Championship

Mumbai, Mar 23: Balakrishna S Bhandary, a Mangalorean settled in suburban Chembur, here bagged National Masters' Swimming Championship held at Rajkot, Gujarat, recently.  The championship was organized by the Swimming Federation of India.



Bhandary bagged the gold in 50 metres freestyle and butterfly swimming competitions and also bagged silver in 50-metre backstroke competition.

Over 600 senior citizens, both men and women from all over the country, competed in the National Masters' Swimming Championship.

Bhandary has been practicing at Acres Life Style Club located in Chembur here.
