'Rajput smoked expensive charas, asked staff to roll joints': Former bodyguard

Daijiworld Media Network - Mumbai (SHP)

Mumbai, Aug 27: New findings have been emerging every day in the Sushant Singh Rajput's case, one of the angle the authorities are probing is the alleged drug abuse by the actor. In a report by India Today former bodyguard Mushtaq has revealed shocking information where he admitted to having witnessed the Bollywood star consuming an expensive variety of imported charas during private parties and while travelling in his car.

Mushtaq was part of the actor's personal security escort for almost nine months before he quit in February last year.

Earlier, the actor's cook Neeraj in his police statement had claimed that he would prepare marijuana smoke for his employer.

WhatsApp chats allegedly between Rhea Chakraborty and her manager also pointed out the actor's possible addiction to banned substances.

Now, Mushtaq's conversation with India Today has reinforced claims that Rajput was hooked on charas and ganja.

"Yes, he did... during parties at home. Five to six people would be there. That time he used to smoke charas or ganja. Everyone in the room would take them. I heard it was an expensive variety," asserted the former bodyguard.

According to Mushtaq, he also warned one of Rajput's managers about charas abuse.

"I told him that this (addiction) would lead (Rajput) to mental disturbance. But he (the manager) told me it (the charas) was not something of an ordinary Indian variety. It was expensive," Mushtaq said.

According to him, three or four personal staff of Rajput would roll charas joints for their boss. "We had instructions not to leave any trace of it (charas) in the car for fears of being caught during checking," he said.

Mushtaq also maintained that Rajput had temperamental issues. "Nobody could predict his mood. While on shoots, he could ask for anything and lose his cool if he didn't get it. He would cancel shoots abruptly because of his mood. This happened many times. Shoots would be cancelled despite the sets in place," Mushtaq maintained.

Further, he claimed that Rajput would fire four-five personal staff members suddenly for no fault of theirs.

Mushtaq admitted that he spoke highly about Rajput on other TV networks. "I can't say everything in interviews. I would only praise him falsely. Else, people would burn my effigy. I am asking for God's forgiveness now," he said.

Regardless of which country it is, a well-accepted fact is that the movie industry and drugs go hand-in-hand.

Many actors around the world have died an unnatural death.

So, if we want to stop this, we must stop watching movies and big-time entertainment.
