Mangaluru, Aug 27: Yuvavahinin Mani unit team of the city has bagged the 'Special Mention Certificate' award for Athmavandana’ short film competition organized by the Information and broadcasting department of the union government and NFDC jointly.
Many teams from 30 states of the country had taken part in the competition. The Mani team was the only team that was selected for the final round from Dakshina Kannada district.
"Patriotism is there in the heartbeat of every Indian. The patriotism exhibited by Bhagat Singh who sacrificed his life for the nation at a very young age is supreme. Patriotism is embedded deep in the hearts of soldiers who protect our borders, farmers who bend their back in the fields to provide food for the country and the police in Khaki uniform. On the whole, the country has to be strengthened further. If the country has to be strong, all of us have to be independent and self-reliant. Then only the dream of self-reliance can get realized," with this theme the Mani Yuvavahini team produced the short film 'Athmavandana’
The story, screenplay and direction of this short film is done by Rajesh S Balya. Shivaraj P also has joined hands in screen play. Dialogues of the short film are written by Prashanth Ananthadi. The cinematography is done by Praveen Salian and Vikram Biliyoor. Editing is done by Dikshith. Desigining is done by Charan. Music is composed by Mithunraj Vidyapura and Rahul Devadiga. The movie is produced by Ramesh Poojari Mujala, Harish Poojari Bakila and Shivaraj P R.
This short film about self-reliance and patriotism which was registered for the country wide three minute online short film competition on patriotism, organized by the Information and Broadcasting department of union government and NFDC, was selected for the final 11 short films and was awarded the 'Special Mention Certificate' award given by the juries.
