Mangaluru: Oman Tuluver confers 'Tulunada Gaana Gandharva' title on singer Jagadish Puttur

Mangaluru, Aug 27: Oman Tuluver organisation felicitated and honoured singer Jagadish Puttur with the title 'Tulunada Gaana Gandharva' here at the press club on Friday August 27.

After receiving the felicitation, Jagadish Puttur said, "I thank Oman Tuluver for their continuous support. They have supported me through a programme 'Gaana Leelotsava' which is telecasted in three episodes on Daijiworld TV. There are many such young singers who need such encouragement to come forward with a platform to explore their talents."

Director Vijay Kumar Kodialbail said, "It is an honour in the singing field to felicitate Jagadish Puttur and recognise his talent."

President of Tulu Sahitya Academy Dayananda Kathalsar accredited the Oman Tuluver and said, "Credit goes to Oman Tuluver who are in the forefront in organising several programmes to promote Tulu language and culture. They have recognised singing talent Jagadish Puttur and provided him a platform."

Producer Kishore D Shetty, music director Kishore and producer Sandesh Bangera was also present.
