Dubai, Mar 28: Daiji Dubai, a forum of Konkani writers in UAE is all geared up to celebrate its 11th anniversary here on April 9. This will be the first major entertainment event after the lent season in UAE.
The event will mark presentation of Daiji Dubai prestigious annual award in a very brief ceremony, followed by a complete entertainer – Konkani comedy play penned by Stan Ageira. Kasale Grahachar Saiba is directed by Pradeep Barboza has all local artistes from Daiji Rang Mandir.
"The preparation for the Daiji Dubai’s 11th anniversary is in full swing as the show will be unleashed at Emirates Auditorium, Sheikh Zayed Road, Exit 41 on April 9. The organizing committee has requested the Konkani community to book their tickets well in advance as very limited seats are available,” says Stan Ageira.
"The major attraction includes Kasale Grahachar Saiba, a comedy play. The prestigious annual Daiji Dubai Literary award would be bestowed on Lancy Pinto Nayak which includes a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and a trophy. The ‘Daiji anniversary’ which always been a high profile and professionally managed entertainment programme is considered one of the prestigious Konkani events in the UAE and is being patronized by a large audience every year." he says
