Coimbatore, Sep 1: Amma Unavugam (Amma Canteen) has emerged as a point where more quantity of good quality food is available for reasonable prices. After Jayalalithaa opened this canteen in 2013, these canteens have proved to be a boon for the poor.

Now, a BJP leader has planned to sell 'Modi Idlis' in Salem. He has named the Idlis after the Prime Minister and offered to provide four Idlis for Rs 10.

This scheme is the brainchild of Mahesh, vice president of Tamil Nadu BJP publicity unit. Posters about Modi Idli have been luring the people with this offer at various places in Salem.

These posters have the picture of the Prime Minister on the left-hand side of the poster, with that of Mahesh on the right. Pictures of Idlis and Sambar have also been provided in the middle, and the words, 'four Idlis for ten rupees', have been written in the middle.

BJP leader Mahesh will soon begin to sell 'Modi Idli' at Salem. These Idlis will be manufactured by using modern cooking ingredients. The poster says that these Idlis will be tasty as well as healthy.

BJP secretary Bharath R Balasubramanian, said that initially 22 Idli sales shops will be opened and if the business is good, more shops will be added.
